Plan Specialist

Position Overview:

The Plan Specialist will work closely with the Estimator to ensure the precise creation of electrical floor plans for our field staff. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication to coordinate with various departments and maintain document integrity.

Objectives:

• Prepare electrical floor plans for field staff, ensuring accuracy in every detail.
• Pull and upload necessary documents, organizing them into their respective folders to facilitate seamless accessibility.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the timely receipt of all required documents for the creation of floor plans.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks to ensure the reliability of floor plans for field staff.
• Assist the Estimating Department in various adhoc tasks and responsibilities as needed.

• Strong attention to detail is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of electrical floor plans.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage documents and folders effectively.
• Clear and effective communication to coordinate with various departments and ensure document receipt.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to the completion of adhoc tasks.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to assist the Estimating Department as needed.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Suites and Google Suites.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar administrative or estimating support role is preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience in using BlueBeam is a plus.

Equipment Requirements:

• Computer/Laptop: Intel Core i7 (10th Gen or higher) with 32GB RAM for optimal performance. Mac Equivalent: MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, M2 Pro, or higher) or Mac Studio (M1 Max, M2 Max, or higher) with 32GB Unified Memory.
• Dual Monitors (Preferred): Improves multitasking and efficiency when reviewing project plans.
• High-Speed Internet: Ensures seamless cloud-based collaboration and software operation.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
